The Bachelor of Nursing is a three-year undergraduate degree leading to registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and eligibility to practise as a registered nurse. Nursing is consistently on Australia’s skilled-migration lists.

Visa and registration pathway
Graduates of an NMBA-accredited program are eligible to apply for registration as a Registered Nurse, and may apply for a Subclass 485 Temporary Graduate visa providing post-study work rights. Registered Nurse is on the Core Skills Occupation List.
Entry requirements
- Year 12 or international equivalent (often with sciences)
- IELTS 7.0 across all four bands (English requirements for nursing registration are higher than most other programs)
- Police check, immunisation, and Working with Children Check before clinical placement
